Why attend an antenatal class in early pregnancy?

The fact that you are reading this page suggests that maybe you are after a bit more information about everything that's coming your way over the next few months. Well, look no further! Our Early Pregnancy Class provides a space for mothers and fathers-to-be to ask questions, learn about what to expect between now and your baby's Birth Day, and get to meet others with the same hopes and uncertainties.

This is a stand alone pregnancy class, suitable to attend anytime up to 24 weeks pregnant. It is ideal for first time parents, who often have lots of questions about their pregnancies, and for whom the midwife appointments can feel very spaced out, but anyone is welcome, whichever number pregnancy this is.

It is aimed at couples, but you are welcome to attend on your own if your partner can't make it. Or you can bring someone else with you - your mum, a friend, your doula etc.

What will I learn during an Early Pregnancy antenatal class?

In the two hour session, we will look at:

changes to mum's body through her pregnancy
health and well being in pregnancy
your feelings around the birth
baby development in the womb
communicating with your growing baby
